This puzzle is similar to a crossword. The six numbered clues correspond to the rows (1 being the top row, etc.); however, the non-numbered clues go in a spiral pattern marked with bold lines from the outside in (starting in the top left and ending in the middle square). Be careful, you’ll have to write backward and upside down!
Rows:
- Home state of over 4,000 polar bears
- Has come to the surface
- More than enough
- Dog-like, scientifically
- Against one’s notions of right and wrong
- Good-looking, in Guatemala
Spiral:
“I wish it wasn’t like this, but __” – “Runaway” artist – Hailing from much of Central and South America – Statistic a cop might measure in a reckless driver – Ninth-largest European city – Very active Italian volcano – Type of tomato, or an ancient city in its native language – Russian revolution figurehead
