Ingredients:
6 russet potatoes (peeled)
⅓ cup melted salted butter
2 cloves minced garlic (optional)
1 cup whole milk
salt & pepper (to taste)
Directions:
- Peel the potatoes, then cut into quarters. Put in a bowl of cold salted water.
2. Put the potatoes into a pot & bring to a boil.
3. Cook for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork tender, then drain the potatoes.
4. In a separate pot, heat milk to a simmer.
5. In the same bowl used previously, mash the potatoes, then go ahead and add the butter. After pouring the butter, you can add the garlic. Slowly pour in the milk and fold it until it gets to that well-known mashed potato consistency.
6. Finally, season with salt and pepper (to your liking). Enjoy!
