Ingredients:
½ cup salted butter
¾ cup light brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅛ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
2 cups chocolate chips (if you’re feeling fancy, you could also chop up your favorite chocolate bar for a more gooey cookie)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 370°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, stir together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla to butter and sugar and mix well.
- In a separate, larger bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together.
- Gradually blend the mixture of dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips and chocolate chip chunks with a spoon.
- Place teaspoon-sized scoops of dough on parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden brown. Make sure to check the cookies regularly.
After removing from the oven, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for around 20 minutes. Then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
