You find yourself at a fork in the road. One path leads to the City of Truth, and the other to the City of Lies.
Citizens of the City of Truth always tell the truth, and citizens of the City of Lies always lie.
You find a citizen (you don’t know from which city) at the fork in the road. You have one question to ask the citizen to figure out which path leads to which city (you have a really sore throat).
What question do you ask? (There are multiple right answers)
Come to Math Club at 3 PM on Wednesdays in room 2312 (it’s changed) to discuss this problem!
This problem also appears in our September 2023 print edition.
