Is it just me, or does watermelon scream summer? Summer is right around the corner and what better to welcome it than with fresh watermelon drinks! On a long hot day, a cold, refreshing watermelon lemonade or frosty will be exactly what you’ll be craving. These recipes are quick, easy and delicious!

Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients:

4 cups watermelon, chopped

1½ cups lemon juice

½ cup sugar

6 cups cold water

Instructions:

  1. Combine together chopped watermelon and lemon juice in a blender until very smooth.
  2. Strain the lemonade to remove any pulp and pour it into a large pitcher. Add the sugar and cold water and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Serve over ice and enjoy! If needed, store the remaining lemonade in the refrigerator.

Watermelon Frosty

Ingredients

2 cups frozen watermelon cubes

½ frozen banana

½ a lime, juiced

½ tablespoon honey

2-3 leaves of mint

Instructions:

  1. Cut the watermelon into cubes and freeze it in a plastic bag or container. Freeze a banana. (To make it easier, peel it and cut it before freezing it.)
  2. Juice half of the lime into a small bowl and set it aside. You could also use lime juice, but be careful not to add too much because it will change the consistency.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until incorporated but still thick. Be careful not to overblend or it will become too liquidy!
  4. Pour into a glass and garnish with more mint and lime. Enjoy!
