What’s my secret to success? How do I make even the most hardened of criminals shiver in their boots when they hear the name Sherlock Holmes? You flatter me. I’ll let you in on my life story.

When I was a kid, I told my parents I wanted to go to Detective School. Coincidentally, my father happened to own Detective School. By some miracle, I became the youngest to ever be accepted into its hallowed halls, having never even taken the SAT, ACT, or anything. Really, I couldn’t believe my own luck!

Investigating crime had always felt like second nature to me. My classmates floundered in Detective School, dropping out left and right for reasons such as lack of money or being drafted to fight in World War II. I, on the other hand, mastered the art of time management, managing to balance going to several private tutors with acing all of my tests. Needless to say, I was also quite the romantic catch! Women didn’t attend Detective School at the time, but I made the most of my situation.

After I graduated, every police agency in all of the UK begged me to lend them a hand due to the skill set I’d worked so hard to cultivate. The Royal Guard, chaired by my lovely older brother, has been chasing after my services, no doubt because of my unmatched wit and reputation. The president, who is now my father, has also been clamoring to get me on his staff—never in my life could I have imagined I’d reach this level of absolute prestige and privilege! My secret to success? Hard work really does pay off.
