Math Club Problem of the Month

Suppose that you have four spinners: the first with the letters in “CRLS,” the second with the letters in “CAMBRIDGE,” the third with all 26 letters of the alphabet, and the fourth with the letters in “MASSACHUSETTS,” including repeats.

After spinning each of the four spinners, what is the probability that the letters shown will be “CRLS,” in that order? How about in any order?

Come to Math Club at 3 PM on Wednesday, January 5th, in Room 3607 to discuss this problem!
