Wrestling
The wrestling team powered through a season where they felt that they were always down a man. Despite the team’s lack of people, there was no lack of personal achievement on the team. The team had many first-timers to the sport, and the group can’t wait to see where the sport takes these new wrestlers who made such huge impacts in their first year. Junior Zach Donnelly says, “[The younger team memb...
Gymnastics
The CRLS gymnastics team was ecstatic for their new season this past winter. With many more gymnasts than last season, the team was only prepared to improve. There is a great amount of hope that the growth in the team will allow for even more improvement in the future. Senior Gilli Dannenberg says, “Next year, I hope that we will continue expanding, as well as win a competition.”...
Girls Hockey
The girls hockey team had an incredible season this year. After only winning two games last year, the girls were able to play together and were able to qualify for the playoffs. With a mix of experienced and new players, the team swept their opponents off the ice. Molly Doran, a sophomore on the hockey team, says, “Unlike last year, we were able to click this season. After only winning two games la...
Boys Hockey

Captain Thomas McGaffigan ’20 noted that they “had a tough season, but [they] didn’t quit.” McGaffigan also said, “We had a young team this year; the players needed to develop.” This was a season to build a stronger team for CRLS boys hockey, and they seem confident that next year’s squad will be not...

Cromheecke is looking forward t...
Fencing
The Falcon fencers cut up the pitch this winter season. The boy's team seeded third for States while the girls seeded fourth. Both teams were sadly eliminated during the state championships, finishing in second place for men’s epee. The team has shown a lot of growth as a younger sport at the school and continues to improve every single year. According to senior Mohammed Shafim, “The team this year h...
Swim and Dive
The Falcon swim and dive team had a fun season splashing around in the War Memorial Pool. Despite the swim team only winning three meets, they sent three people to States. Even with the tough season, senior Neely McKee is “eager to see how [the team] continues to improve next year.” This season was also the first under the new diving coach, during which the boys finished on top of the Dual Cou...
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team’s season has been very successful this year, despite injuries that have affected the team. The team’s great season qualified them for the state tournament. Captain Ella Simonsen ’20 says, “For now, we’re just grinding in practice and doing our best.” The team had a lot of young talent this year, and will likely be able to build on that, regardless of the outcome...
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team started off with high expectations for the season after getting deep into the tournament for the past three years. This year was no different, as the team has continued to show their strength.
